The Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation will change the operation of its metropolitan buses due to traffic restrictions associated with the Tokyo Marathon 2026 on March 1.
On the day of the event, large-scale traffic restrictions will be implemented in Shinjuku, Nihonbashi, Asakusa, Ginza, Tamachi, and other areas.
Traffic restrictions will begin around 7:00 a.m. in the earliest locations and will eventually be lifted by 4:00 p.m. or later. The flights subject to change are as follows. Detailed information on the restricted hours and operation plans for other routes can be found in the “Operation Information List” on the official website of the Toei Bus Company and in the notices posted at each bus stop.
