Ryohin Keikaku, which operates MUJI, resumed order-taking and shipping operations for some products on December 1, 2010 for the “MUJI Net Store,” which had been out of service since October 19, 2009 at 21:00 due to a system failure at ASKUL.
The resumed operations include the acceptance of orders and shipments of large furniture and the “Kuni Ryohin” direct shipping page, as well as the acceptance of applications for the “Monthly Flat Rate Service”. The company has also reopened the store’s large furniture ordering service.
The resumption of all product orders and shipments at the online store is scheduled for mid-December.
