On November 29, Ikaros Shuppan released “Monthly Airline, January 2026,” an A4-size, 144-page book priced at 1980 yen.
The special feature is “Moving Passenger Aircraft! The World of Ground Handling”.
Through a variety of on-the-spot interviews, this report focuses on the role of ground handling operations that support the arrival and departure of passenger aircraft at airports, and the people, vehicles, and facilities that play an active role in these operations. Through the drama that unfolds on the front lines at Haneda, Narita, and other airports, and through the images of professionals in each job category, the film examines the work and importance of ground handling, which is indispensable to the operation of passenger aircraft.
In addition, as a regular supplement to the January issue each year, we have prepared a calendar with gems of photography. The work is by aviation photographer Akira Fukasawa.
