Miyazaki Prefecture’s local buses will offer free rides on December 17 and 21. Free for both prefectural and non-prefectural residents, no matter how many times you ride within the prefecture.

The Miyazaki Prefecture Bus Use Promotion Council will hold “Free Bus Day” on December 17 and 21.

This is a program that offers free fares for any number of trips when using local buses within Miyazaki Prefecture. The program is open to all people, including residents of Miyazaki Prefecture, who can get on and off the bus simply by taking a numbered ticket and placing it in the fare box.

Free fares will be applied to buses operated by Miyazaki Kotsu, Takasaki Kanko Bus, Sanwa Kotsu, Motomura Kotsu, and Miyako Taxi, and community buses or shared-ride cabs operated by Nobeoka City, Hyuga City, and Kadokawa Town.

Routes operated by companies and municipalities other than those listed above, express buses, and chartered buses are not covered. Also, if you take a bus on a route that crosses over into another prefecture, you must pay the regular fare for the entire route, even if you take a route that includes a section within Miyazaki Prefecture.
