The Tokyo Metropolitan Transportation Bureau and Keihin Electric Express Railway will begin offering a credit card touch payment service at all stations on the Toei Subway and Keikyu lines from the first train departures on December 23.
The two companies had been conducting demonstration tests at some stations since December 2024. In response to the increase in the number of inbound passengers using Haneda Airport, the two companies decided to begin using the system at all stations.
The card (credit/debit/prepaid) or a smartphone with the card installed can be used for touch-sensitive payment, and passengers can board the train by touching the card to the reader at the ticket gate. Brands supported are Visa, Mastercard, JCB, American Express, Diners Club, Discover, and UnionPay.
