Osaka City Bus and Shinki Bus will begin operating an express bus service between Kobe and Abenobashi (tentative name) in early April. An application for approval has been filed with the Kinki District Transport Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
This route connects Kobe Airport and Abenobashi (Tennoji) via Shinsaibashi. There will be eight round trips per day, two of which will be to/from Kobe Sannomiya Bus Terminal.
The trip between Shinsaibashi and Kobe Airport will take approximately one hour, and the trip between Abenobashi and Kobe Sannomiya will take approximately two hours. The fare will be a flat rate of 1,000 yen (not including the Shinsaibashi – Kobe Airport route), and the service will be operated on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations allowed.
This is the first time Osaka City Bus and Shinki Bus have jointly operated an express bus service, and it is also the first time both Osaka City Bus serves the Kobe area and Shinki Bus serves Abenobashi and Shinsaibashi.
