JR East View Tourism & Sales is running the “Date Time” campaign from December 11 to February 28, 2026. This is in cooperation with the Date wide-area tourism promotion council.
During the period, discount coupons for round-trip train + lodging plans to designated areas and facilities in Miyagi, Yamagata, and Iwate prefectures are distributed on the website. The coupons are available for places related to the former Date Clan, and include a 3,000 yen discount for facilities in Sendai City and Matsushima Town, and an 8,000 yen discount for facilities in Kesennuma City, Minamisanriku Town, Osaki City, Mogami Town, Oshu City, Hiraizumi Town, and Ichinoseki City.
The coupon distribution will end when the maximum limit is reached.
Among those who travel to the above-mentioned target areas by JR East Japan View Tourism & Sales products and respond to a web-based questionnaire, 30 people will be selected by drawing to receive 2 kg of brand-name rice from each prefecture. The deadline for responding and applying for the prize is March 1.
