Zenrin’s “Manned Remote Islands Trading Card” Vol. 2 is now on sale! A total of 80 islands to collect, learn, talk about, and visit!

Posted on February 10, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Zenrin will release the second series of “Map Design GALLERY CARD/Human inhabited islands” trading cards featuring inhabited islands throughout Japan from its Map Design GALLERY brand of map-designed stationery and sundries. The price is 550 yen per pack (7 random cards), 5,500 yen for the standard edition of the complete box, and 6,160 yen for the first limited edition (the box is only available online).

Map Design GALLERY online store will start selling the product on December 19 at 12:00 p.m., and physical stores (Kokura, Nagasaki Stadium City, Nagasaki Airport, and Fukuoka) will start selling it on December 25.

The cards feature basic information on the surface, such as island names, maps, population, and area of inhabited islands throughout Japan, and a silhouette design on the reverse side, a feature unique to ZENRIN. The “Rare Cards” with an island population of 1 to 9 are foil-stamped.

The first series (70 islands in total), which has been available since July, has been popular mainly among map lovers and travelers, and the total number of copies sold has exceeded approximately 50,000 (as of the end of November).

The second volume includes 80 of the 304 islands in Japan that are newly inhabited. While collecting the cards, visitors can not only get a sense of the overall image and scale of the islands they do not yet know, but also enjoy taking quizzes using the silhouettes on the back, choosing their travel destinations with the cards, and talking about the islands they are associated with.

The complete box containing all 70 islands from the first volume will also be available again at the online store starting December 19 at 12:00 pm. In addition, as a purchase bonus at the online store, the first 100 customers who purchase three or more 7-card packs (regardless of whether they are from the first or second series) at the same time will receive a special SR (Super Rare) card “Itsukushima (Miyajima),” which will not be included in the future.
