Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Store, a member of the J. Front Retailing Group, and PARCO will undertake a large-scale renovation of a portion of the south wing of Matsuzakaya Nagoya (B2F and 1F-6F) into a new commercial facility to be operated by PARCO.
The two companies have been engaged in a large-scale renovation of Matsuzakaya Nagoya and Nagoya PARCO since fiscal 2024. In this renovation, the Matsuzakaya Nagoya South Building, located between the two stores, will retain its identity as a center of culture, including the Matsuzakaya Museum of Art, while introducing a highly sensitive store zone, including fashion, entertainment, and culture, which is PARCO’s forte, and evolving it into a facility that connects the Matsuzakaya Nagoya store and Nagoya PARCO will evolve into a facility that brings together diverse generations as a “bridge” connecting Matsuzakaya Nagoya and Nagoya PARCO.
The J. FRONT RETAILING Group will promote the revitalization of the Sakae area from an “area” perspective, including the commercial facility “HAERA,” scheduled to open in early summer 2026.
