JR Kyushu will start selling “Kyushu Dream Gacha Free Ticket” on February 14 to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the Kyushu Shinkansen’s full line opening. The period of use is March 14 and 15.
This is a product in which you are guaranteed to win either a one-day unlimited ride on all JR Kyushu lines (limited to 100 tickets) or all Kyushu Shinkansen lines (limited to 100 tickets) by drawing lots via the JR Kyushu application. Both of these programs offer unlimited use of non-reserved seats on ordinary cars (the former includes Shinkansen, limited express, and Hidahikosan Line BRT), and reserved seats and green car seats are also available for an additional fee.
To purchase tickets, first purchase a “lottery ticket” (14,500 yen) from the JR Kyushu application. The ticket will be issued in accordance with the lottery results, and the winning ticket (500 yen) will be purchased through JR Kyushu’s online train reservation system. The lottery tickets will be sold and drawn until March 12, and the tickets themselves will be available for purchase until March 13.
There is also a ticket for children (“lottery ticket” and ticket totaling 5000 yen), but “lottery tickets” are only available as a set with adult tickets, such as “1 adult and 1 child” or “2 adults and 1 child,” and lottery and purchase of only child tickets will not be accepted.
As a “double chance,” 15 participants will be selected by drawing to receive 1500 JR Cupo points, and 250 participants will receive a separate 1500 yen coupon that can be used at all Amu Plaza locations.
