Grand Vista “YOKI MATSUSHIMA” to open in August. All rooms have ocean views and hot spring baths, and the hotel will also offer experiences in collaboration with the local community.

Gran Vista Hotel & Resort will open the YOKI MATSUSHIMA hotel (5-3, Higashihama, Matsushima, Matsushima-cho, Miyagi-gun, Miyagi Prefecture) in August. Reservations are already being accepted.

Rebranded from “Hotel KAIFUDO,” the hotel consists of 5 stories above ground and 26 rooms in total. All rooms are equipped with an open-air or semi-open-air hot spring bath and have ocean views.

A garden-like space in the lobby will be designed to resemble a view of Matsushima, and a welcome drink will be provided. On the rooftop, there will be an observation bath with sauna.

Focusing on the fact that tourists spend only a short time in Matsushima, the hotel will also emphasize a stay-and-go experience based on the concept of “immersing oneself in the beauty of Matsushima. In addition to programs in collaboration with the local community, the hotel aims to create a “slow luxury” facility through food, hotel interior design, and artwork.

At the time of the announcement, the company plans to offer craft beer at the museum, as well as guided tours and suggestions for local tours, including a sightseeing boat ride to Oku-Matsushima. In the future, the company plans to offer experiences of local industries and seasonal events.

A special commemorative stay plan, including one night, two meals, and a novelty gift, is available for 67,500 yen and up.
