Amazon’s Hometown Tax Payment, 2025 Annual Ranking. Hamburger steak → salmon roe → bonito → tissue → beef tongue

Posted on February 10, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Amazon Furusato Tax, in which approximately 1,000 local governments nationwide participate, has features such as next-day delivery of some returns as soon as possible, exclusive returns only available on Amazon, and a selection of small returns starting from 1,000 yen.

Amazon (Amazon Japan) has updated its annual ranking of the most popular Furusato tax returns. The total period is from January 1 to November 30, 2025.

Only “12 days” left until the 2025 homeowners’ tax deadline.

A bird’s-eye view of the annual ranking shows that popularity is concentrated in “meat,” “seafood,” and “fruit.

No. 1 of the year was the “Kyushu Kuroge Wagyu Beef Hamburger, 140g x 12 pieces” from Karatsu City, Saga Prefecture, which continued to dominate the weekly ranking. The ground beef hamburger is a combination of six parts of Kyushu black wagyu beef (loin, cutlet, belly, thigh, shank, and neck) and pork from Kyushu, and each 140g is individually packaged in a frozen package. The donation amount is 12,000 yen.

No. 2 was “Salmon Roe American Chum 200g x 2” from Shiranukamachi, Hokkaido. Natural Alaskan salmon roe is washed in cooled salt water at temperatures below 10℃. By freezing and preserving the product with nitrogen filling, it has a shelf life of over a year. The donation amount is 16,000 yen.

Third place went to Ainan Town, Ehime Prefecture, for 2.5 kg of bonito tataki, delivered frozen and vacuum-packed (in small portions). The product is delivered frozen and vacuum-packed (in small portions), and although it is a special product with peeling skin and wrong size, the taste and quality are said to be unaffected. It can be stored in the freezer for approximately 180 days, and can be defrosted under running water for 10 to 15 minutes. The donation amount is 10,000 yen.

In fourth place is not food, but 60 boxes of Claris box tissues from Tsubonoya Shigyo of Oyama City, Tochigi Prefecture, with 220 pairs (440 sheets) per box, 20 pairs more than the typical 200 pairs. The donation amount is 14,000 yen, so each box is calculated at 233 yen.

No. 5 is “1kg Thick Cut Beef Tongue” from Mizukami-mura, Kumamoto Prefecture, which comes in two 500g x 2 vacuum-packed packages, with the standard serving size of one package being about 2.5 servings for home consumption. The tender and fatty beef tongue is carefully selected and pre-seasoned, so it is ready to eat just by grilling it.
