Prime Place will change the name of its commercial facility “EAS Kasugai” (22 Higashioka, Rokkenya-cho, Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture) to “Yorokka Kasugai” on April 3.
Opened in October 2021, EAS Kasugai currently has about 70 stores in various categories including food, fashion, and services, including one of the largest MUJI stores in Tokai. The name change was implemented as the first property of the new “YOROKKA” brand series. The name was chosen to evoke the image of a scene in which people visit the store in their daily lives by saying, “Let’s drop by for a moment,” and expresses friendliness through the nuance of spoken language.
The main motif of the logo is the “Y” in “YOROKKA,” which represents the image of people stopping by the various stores in the facility in the form of a single stroke of the brush. The Y shape, with its multi-colored design representing the wide variety of tenants and its open corners, expresses the hope that the facility will be open to everyone.
