Former Soma Family Residence, a National Important Cultural Property in Hakodate, to Become a Hotel! All-suite “Former Soma Family Kazeno Heritage” to Open March 1

Value Management will open the “Former Soma Family Kazeno Heritage” (33-2 Motomachi, Hakodate, Hokkaido) on March 1 as part of its hotel business to preserve and utilize the “Former Soma Family Residence,” a nationally designated Important Cultural Property located in the Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings in Hakodate, Hokkaido. Reservations for the hotel have been accepted since February 4.

The guest rooms consist of an entire warehouse, a nationally designated important cultural property, and a former private residence that was extended in later years and converted into a total of three guest rooms, all of which are suites. The hotel also plans to sell plans to rent out the entire hotel.

Located approximately 15 minutes from JR Hakodate Station by car, 25 minutes from Hakodate Airport by car, and a 5-minute walk from the nearest Suehiro-cho streetcar stop, it is surrounded by low-rise residences and various historical buildings.
