GENSEN HOLDINGS, operator of the Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group, announced the results of a survey of its employees regarding their “favorite hotels and inns.

The survey was administered to staff at Oedo Onsen Monogatari Group lodging facilities and theme parks. Responses were received from 193 people between December 2025 and January 2026 in four categories: hot spring (spring quality), hot spring (scenery), landscape, and cuisine, surveying which inns they would “heartily recommend” to customers.

In the hot spring (spring quality) category, TAOYA Kisoji ranked first. Comments such as, “The hot spring feels like lotion,” and “The spring water is so thick, it feels like a lotion,” were among the comments that praised its texture.

The first place in the hot spring (scenery) category went to “TAOYA Nikko Kirifuri,” which gained popularity for its infinity open-air bath with a view of the sea of clouds and sunrise. In the scenery category, “Nagasaki Hotel Seifu” took the top spot, with its night view highly acclaimed.

In the cuisine category, four facilities tied for first place: “TAOYA Akiu” and “TAOYA Nikko Kirifuri” with their well-received live kitchens, “Premium Shirahama Saichoraku” and “Hotel Ranpu” offering the group’s top-rated “Oedo 3-Star Buffet”.

Details for each category are as follows. With the exception of the culinary category, the top three facilities are open to the public.
