Tokyo BRT announces extension of service from Harumi to Tokyo Station, scheduled to begin operation in fall 2026.

Posted on February 4, 2026 by Editor in Chief

On December 23, the Bureau of Urban Development of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced that the Tokyo BRT, a public transportation system connecting the city center and the waterfront area, has decided to extend its route toward Tokyo Station at the Tokyo Waterfront Subcenter Area Public Transportation Council Meeting.

The “Tokyo Station Route (tentative name)” will connect Tokyo Station, Harumi Pier Park, Harumi Flag (Harumi 5-chome Terminal), and other locations, with three new stops at Tsukiji, Ginza, and Tokyo Station. Details such as the service start date and timetable will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

The Tokyo BRT operates on a route connecting Toranomon Hills and Shimbashi to Kachidoki, Harumi, Toyosu, Tokyo Big Sight, etc. The extension of the line toward Tokyo Station will improve convenience along the route.
