Hulic Hotel Management opened “The Gate Hotel Sapporo by HULIC” (3-1-44 Kita Sanjo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido) on December 20. This is the first opening of “The Gate Hotel” brand in Hokkaido and the seventh in Japan.
The building is located on the upper floors (10-20F) of the HULIC SQUARE SAPPORO complex, a 1-minute walk from Sapporo Station on the Sapporo Municipal Subway and a 4-minute walk from JR Sapporo Station. It is directly connected to the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walking Space (Chi-ka-ho), making it a convenient location for both sightseeing and business.
A total of 172 guest rooms will be available on the 11th to 20th floors. The design is inspired by the land of Hokkaido, and the lineup includes a 64m² suite “THE GATE,” a 40m² “Luxe,” and 28 to 35m² “Classy,” and a variety of other room types.
Anchor Grill Sapporo, an all-day dining restaurant on the 10th floor, seats 110 (two private rooms) and offers grilled dishes using seasonal and carefully selected local ingredients from Hokkaido. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and diners can enjoy live cooking in the open kitchen.
The hotel also has a “Public Bath” on the 11th floor and a fitness center for the exclusive use of hotel guests, as well as a “Premium Lounge” on the top floor (20th floor) for the use of guests staying in the applicable guest rooms (THE GATE, Luxe, Classy, etc.). In the lounge, guests can enjoy drinks and sweets while gazing at the changing scenery of Sapporo over the course of the day (a premium menu is available after 6:00 p.m. for a fee).
