IWATANI’s “IZAMARU”, a cassette stove and stove in one, dual-purpose unit. No power source required, compact size, and can be used as a disaster prevention product.

Iwatani Corporation released a new product “Iwatani Cassette Fu Stove & Stove “Izamaru”” on December 22, 2011, which has both cassette stove and stove functions. It is priced at 16,500 yen. The product will be available at home centers, electronics retailers, large supermarkets, and specialty stores nationwide, as well as through the official online store Iwatania iCollect.

The main body of the cassette stove comes with a stove holder with a stove and a stove unit. The stove unit can be used as a cassette stove by attaching the shiru receiver with a gotoku. The cassette stove is compatible with the accessory plate for the cassette stove, enabling enjoyment of yakiniku, takoyaki, nabe, sukiyaki, and other dishes.

When the stove unit is attached, far-infrared rays emitted from the red-hot part of the stove unit produce a heating effect. As a rough guide, the stove can be used in a detached wooden house (4 tatami mats) or a concrete housing complex (5 tatami mats), and the continuous burning time is approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes (when the temperature is 20-25℃) when using Iwatani cassette gas. A kettle or other cooking utensils (15 cm or less in diameter) can be placed on the top panel.

It is fueled by easily accessible and easy-to-handle cassette gas and is designed to be cordless, eliminating the need for an electric power source. The compact size makes it useful not only for daily use, but also for emergency situations such as power outages, and it can be stored in a small space as an emergency supply. Since it does not use kerosene, it is less likely to smell when ignited or extinguished, making it easy to use for heating in apartment complexes.

In addition, the stove is equipped with four safety devices: incomplete combustion prevention device, standstill safety device, fire extinguishing device when the stove falls over, and pressure sensing safety device. The size and weight of the cassette stove body + stove unit are 216 x 197 x 265 mm and approximately 1.9 kg, and the cassette stove body + stove holder with workpiece is 216 x 197 x 120 mm and approximately 1.4 kg.
