Hotel Metropolitan (1-6-1 Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku, Tokyo) of the JR East Group will hold a strawberry-themed “Strawberry Sweets Buffet” from February 21 to 23, 2026, and will start accepting reservations online from 12 p.m. on January 19.
At the buffet, you can enjoy about 20 kinds of hotel-made sweets such as strawberry tart, strawberry naked cake, etc. Suica penguin macaroons and glass sweets are also available, which are not usually sold at cake stores, and are only available here at Suica Penguin sweets, which are not usually sold at cake shops, will also be available. In addition, light meals such as sandwiches, soups, and salads will also be available.
Each guest can also enjoy one “Suica’s Penguin Strawberry Eclair,” a one-of-a-kind sweet treat: a cute mini eclair with a Suica penguin sandwiched between the crispy dough and strawberry cream, which is said to be a perfect match. The hotel’s original drink, Strawberry Mocktail, is also available.
