Hikawa Shrine (1-407 Takahana-cho, Omiya-ku, Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture) provides information on opening hours and precautions regarding Hatsumode in 2026.
The opening hours from the 2nd onward vary depending on the day, and will be extended until the 7th. For details, please refer to the attached chart.
Red seals will be conferred at the second Shintaku conferment office. However, from January 1 to 12, no entry will be made in the ledger book, and special New Year’s paper red seals or new ledgers will be used. (From January 13 to February 2, entry will resume and a gold seal “New Year’s Offering” will be affixed.)
Wedding ceremonies, car exorcisms, and clothing exorcisms will be suspended until January 3, January 18, and the end of January, respectively. On the other hand, until January 8, about 120 stalls will be set up along the approach to the shrine.
From New Year’s Eve to Sangatsu, traffic will be restricted from the Omiya Station area. Since the parking lot of the shrine will be closed, public transportation is recommended. Please refer to the Traffic Regulations Map (PDF) for details.
