Most flights from Japan to Hawaii depart at night and arrive there in the morning around 8:00-9:00 am. The outbound flight is about 7 hours, which is fine if you can sleep, but the problem is when you cannot.
If you go to the beach or go shopping while dizzy from lack of sleep, you will not be able to enjoy yourself, and there is a high possibility that you will be exposed to danger. Therefore, I recommend “early check-in” at your hotel.
Generally, hotel check-in time is after 3:00 p.m., but this service allows you to enter your room at least two hours earlier than that, and some hotels may let you through to your room in the morning. Early check-in is sometimes a paid option, and sometimes it is offered at no extra charge if the room is ready, so it is advisable to check the explanation carefully when making a reservation.
Once you check in early and lie in bed, you should be able to reset your drowsiness (although it won’t fix jet lag) and be active.
