APA Hotel opened “APA Hotel ” (9-1-5 Minami 1-jo Nishi, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, Hokkaido) on December 18.

This is the first project in the company’s nationwide “scrap and build” project to demolish and newly build existing hotels that have become outdated. This will be the first “new hotel” to open in Hokkaido, where APA Hotels have only rebranded existing hotels. After the reconstruction work, the number of guest rooms has increased from 60 in the old facility to 218.

The hotel’s facilities include “adjustable slippers” that can be adjusted to the size of the guest’s feet, and a water server that allows guests to use their own water bottles for the first time. Guest rooms feature the latest specifications for the company’s new urban hotel, including a 50-inch LCD TV, Wi-Fi 6, and a centralized bedside controller. In response to inbound demand, the hotel also offers multilingual information and TV screens (5 languages) and universal power outlets.

The first-floor restaurant features Chinese cuisine Hotei, a famous local restaurant known for its “zangi,” the soul food of Sapporo residents. For breakfast, a plate set featuring Hotei’s zangi, mapo tofu, and other dishes will be served, as well as a menu in collaboration with APA President Curry.

This is the eighth APA Hotel in Sapporo. The company plans to continue strengthening its concentration of operations in the Sapporo area, and plans to open two new hotels in 2027, APA Hotel & Resort Sapporo Ekimae (500 rooms) and APA Hotel Sapporo Ekimae Nishi (168 rooms), both near the station.
