Hokkaido Airport will conduct a demonstration experiment to enable the use of a cab dispatch application at New Chitose Airport from January 15 to March 31.
Three new “car-dispatch application booths” will be set up, two for domestic flights and one for international flights. The three available car-dispatch apps are DiDi, GO, and Uber. However, the location and operation of the car stop may be subject to change.
In addition, a second cab pool will be established in addition to the existing cab pool as a temporary waiting area for cabs from the Sapporo area and other areas.
At New Chitose Airport, a shortage of cabs during the busy winter season is becoming apparent, and the company aims to alleviate the cab shortage by using the demonstration experiment as an opportunity to expand the number of “DiDi, GO, and Uber” cabs in the Chitose area.
