Sunflower offers a special plan to take JR Kyushu’s “Umisachi Yamasachi” train from Shibushi.

Posted on February 2, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Sunflower Travel will start selling the travel product “Sightseeing Train Umisachi Yamasachi and Sunflower Cruise: JR Nichinan Line Charter Train Story” on January 16, starting at 10:00.

This is a special offer to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Sunflower Kagoshima route and the 100th anniversary of the Nichinan Line’s Shibushi Station. The key point is that passengers can board JR Kyushu’s “Umisachi Yamasachi” train, which normally operates from and to Nango Station, from Shibushi Station.

The tour will depart on March 12. After boarding the Sunflower between Osaka and Obi (overnight), passengers will board the “Umisachi Yamasachi” from Obi. There is a one-way plan that takes passengers directly to Miyazaki Station, and a round-trip plan that turns around at Obi Station on the way back to Osaka (Obi and Shibushi will be transported by bus on the return trip). Attendants will be on board the “Umisachi Yamasachi” bus, and passengers will also receive original goods.

The one-way plan costs 19,800 yen, and the round-trip plan costs 34,800 yen (per person when using a private bed (shared room)).
