We covered the finale ceremony of the “Hawaiian’s 60th Anniversary Festival,” which has been held for a full year since January 2025, with various events, performances, commemorative goods and food sales, and collaborative events.

Arco & Peace”, ambassadors of support for the 60th anniversary of the company’s founding, make an appearance.

For the ceremony, members of the Spa Resort Hawaiians Dancing Team and the “Shiva Ora” fire knife dancing team, as well as the original character “CoCo nee-san,” gathered on stage to create the most gorgeous atmosphere possible.

Mr. Kazushi Sekine, President and Executive Officer of Joban Kosan, who took the stage at the beginning of the event, expressed his gratitude to all the guests and locals who have visited over the past 60 years, saying, “We promise to continue to be an everlasting summer paradise that will be loved forever by parents and children of three generations.

Also appearing as special guests were two members of the comedy duo “Arco & Peace,” who have served as 60th anniversary support ambassadors for a year. Yuki Hirako, a native of Iwaki City, spoke of her memories of Hawaiians (then Joban Hawaiian Center), which she has been familiar with since childhood.

Next, “Panashiba-kun,” the second character of Spa Resort Hawaiians following CoCo nee, was introduced and unveiled for the first time. The cute orange figure appeared from the back of the stage to loud applause and cheers from all around the venue.

Panashiba-kun is a pineapple fairy born in Hawaii and a childhood friend of CoCoNe, who was born in the same place. He heard rumors of CoCoNe’s great success and came all the way here, blending in with pineapples imported to Japan.

He was so fascinated by the performance of the fire knife dance team “Shiva Ora” that he applied to become their apprentice and is now practicing fire knife dance. He is currently practicing fire knife dance. He may make his debut in the near future, so we look forward to seeing his future activities.

After the finale ceremony, there was the first day performance of the new Polynesian show with renewed content, and visitors were able to see the powerful stage performance first hand.

The title of the new show is “Haku Lei: Bonds of Aloha,” and the show is structured around the concept of “haku,” the weaving technique used to make leis, and the idea of carefully nurturing one’s love for a loved one as if weaving it into the lei.

After the show, Yui Lehiva, captain of the Dancing Team, expressed her ambitions for the future, saying, “I hope to deliver a show that is unique to Hawaiian’s while respecting Polynesian culture.
