Odawara-Atsugi Road, renewal construction from April at Odawara-Higashi IC to Ninomiya IC. One lane will be operated on both the upper and lower lanes, and traffic congestion of up to 10 km is expected by August.

NEXCO Central Japan Tokyo Branch will conduct renewal work on the Odawara-Atsugi Road (E85) between Odawara-Higashi IC and Ninomiya IC (upper and lower lines) from April 6 to August 5.

During this period, lane restrictions will be in place in the above section, and both the upper and lower lanes will operate with one lane each. In particular, from May 13 to July 13, the entire downbound side of the road will be under construction, and the downbound side will be relocated to the upbound side of the road for two-way traffic control. In addition, during construction work across the road, temporary low-speed driving restrictions of 10 to 20 km/h will also be in place.

However, Saturdays and Sundays during April and from April 25 to May 6, which is during Golden Week, are exempt from the regulation.

Traffic congestion of up to 10 km (one hour to pass through the construction zone) is expected between 8:00 and 22:00 on the restricted day, and drivers are encouraged to detour to the Seishon Bypass (E84) or Tomei (E1). If the detour will result in higher tolls, the tolls will be adjusted to the same price as those via Odawara-Atsugi Road only on weekends and holidays.

In addition, the “E85 Odawara-Atsugi Road Renewal Work Congestion Avoidance Thanksgiving Campaign” will also be held, in which entrants will receive an electronic coupon for using the designated route during the applicable time period after entering through the “Wakuwaku Highway App. Details will be announced in late March.
