MUJI offers four types of water-repellent bags made of lightweight and durable ripstop fabric. Boston, backpack, shoulder

Posted on February 2, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Ryohin Keikaku, which operates MUJI, is sequentially releasing four items in its “Ripstop” series at MUJI stores nationwide and online.

The lineup includes a backpack, mini shoulder bag, shoulder bag, and Boston bag made of lightweight and durable ripstop fabric. The fabric is made of 100% recycled materials, and some parts have been treated with a water-repellent finish so that they can be used in leisure activities.

The backpack and shoulder bag have a drawstring design that can be adjusted according to the amount of luggage, and the straps can be tightened when there is little luggage. Because they are not bulky, they can be kept in a carry-on case and used as a sub-bag for travel.

The backpack also has a mesh pocket on the front for small items and a drawstring cord on the side pocket to keep folded umbrellas and other items from falling out by cord.
