NEXCO East Japan Tsukuba Construction Office will enforce road closure regulations on the Ken-O Expressway (C4) Joso IC to Tsukuba Chuo IC (inbound and outbound) and Tsukuba Chuo IC (outbound) exit ramps.

The Joso IC to Tsukuba Chuo IC (in and outbound) will be closed to traffic during the night from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on February 17 and 18 for pavement work associated with the four-lane roadway conversion.

In addition, the exit ramp at the Tsukuba Chuo IC (outbound) will be closed from 5:00 a.m. on February 17 to 5:00 a.m. on February 19 for consecutive days and nights due to IC reconstruction work associated with the 4-lane expansion. The ramp will be closed from 5:00 a.m. on February 17 to 5:00 a.m. on February 19, and will remain closed on weekends and national holidays.

During the regulation period, drivers are urged to divert to the Joban Expressway (E6) and other nearby roads. A “transfer adjustment” will also be implemented to adjust fares by transferring at designated interchanges.
