The Shinjuku City Half Marathon and Residents’ Health Marathon Executive Committee will enforce traffic regulations for the 23rd marathon to be held on January 25.
From 7:30 a.m. to around 2:45 p.m., there will be a series of vehicle road closure points, road closure sections, and detour routes. The areas to be covered are the Jingu Gaien and Sendagaya areas of the National Stadium (10-1 Kasumigaoka-cho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo), the Yotsuya, Tomikucho, and Kappa-zaka areas, the Shinjuku and Sendagaya 5-chome areas, and the Ichigaya, Iidabashi, and Kagurazaka areas, where the start and finish will be held.
During the traffic control, no one will be allowed to enter or cross the course, and pedestrians and bicyclists will be restricted from crossing the course while runners are passing through. On-street parking on the course will not be available after 19:00 on the 24th, the day before the race.
In conjunction with the convention, the White 61, Ii 62, Hashi 63, High 71, Yado 75, Black 77, Hay 81, Ike 86, and Shin 97 buses will be suspended, rerouted, or shortened depending on the time.
