NEXCO Central Japan Nagoya Branch will conduct intensive construction work from April 1 to 24 on the Nagoya 2nd Ring Road (C2) between Kamisya-Minami IC and Nagoya-Nishi JCT (in and outbound) and on the Higashi-Meihan Expressway (E23) between Nagoya-Nishi IC and Kameyama IC (up and down).
On the Meijikan Expressway between Seishu JCT and Nagoya-nishi JCT (outbound), continuous day and night closures will be in effect from April 7 to 16. Lane restrictions will be in effect from April 5 to 24 (except Sundays) on the Tomeihan Expressway between the Nagoya-nishi IC and the Kameyama IC (up and down). Also, some IC/PAs will be closed on certain days.
Traffic congestion of up to 23 km is expected on the Tomeihan Expressway on the day the regulation is implemented, and drivers are encouraged to detour to the Isewan Coastal Expressway and Shin Meishin Expressway (E1A). If the detour will result in higher tolls, the tolls will be adjusted to the same amount as those via the regulated section.
In addition, the “Traffic Jam Avoidance Thanksgiving Campaign” will also be held, in which visitors who enter through the “Wakuwaku Highway App” and use the designated route during the applicable time period will receive an electronic coupon. Details will be announced in mid-March.
