Kyoto Porta” directly connected to JR Kyoto Station to be renewed in spring/summer. 16 stores including Disney Store, souvenir zone in the underground shopping mall closed at the end of January.

Kyoto Porta, operated by JR West Kyoto SC Kaihatsu, will reopen a total of 16 stores from February through summer. This includes 10 new stores, including 2 new stores opening for the first time in a commercial facility, 1 store opening for the first time in western Japan, and 3 stores opening for the first time in Kyoto Prefecture, as well as 6 stores relocating or remodeling.

Kyoto Porta is a commercial facility that operates on multiple floors in the underground shopping mall in front of JR Kyoto Station and the Kyoto Station Building. In the south area of the underground shopping mall, a “Disney Store” directly operated store will open for the first time in the Kyoto Station area, much anticipated. In addition, “H&F BELX,” which sells health-friendly non-caffeine tea, will open its first store in Kyoto Prefecture.

In the west area of the underground shopping arcade, the first store in Kyoto prefecture, “Apples and Butter. & Strawberry Waltz” and fashion store “DouDou” will newly appear.

In the food and beverage zone in the east area of the underground shopping mall, “Gyukatsu Motomura” will open its first restaurant in the Kyoto Station area. At Porta Sky Dining on the 11th floor of the station building, “Kyoto Wagyu Yajiro” will open a new restaurant for the first time in western Japan.

In the summer, the souvenir zone “Kyokonomi” in the east area of the underground shopping center will be completely renewed. In addition to the opening of a new large-scale Kyoto souvenir store that offers a wide selection of Kyoto souvenirs, from long-established stores to new classics, five popular Kyoto souvenir stores that will be opening for the first time in a commercial facility, and five specialty stores, including long-established Japanese confectionery stores, are scheduled to open.

On the first floor of the station building, “Omiyage Koji Kyoto Komachi” features two popular stores, including the first store in a commercial facility for “Chato Kakao,” a new business model rebranded by the popular Kyoto confectionery store “FUMON-AN.

The currently operating “Kyokonomi” stores will close on January 29. In addition, several other stores in the area will also be closed or temporarily closed, so please check the information page on the official website for details.
