On January 20, Navitime Japan launched a route search function with a maximum expressway toll amount in its “Car Navi Time” car navigation application (Android/iOS version).
Up to six different routes with various patterns of different expressway sections will be presented, allowing the user to find the most efficient route to use the expressway.
The maximum amount can be set either before or after the route search, before the search if the budget is fixed in advance, or after the search if the user wants to check the normal fare and then adjust it.
