11,000 yen grant “Tokyo App Life Support Project” will be implemented from February 2, 2012. Access “Congestion Calendar” released.

Posted on February 2, 2026 by Editor in Chief

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s Public Relations Office announced that it will implement the “Tokyo App Lifestyle Support Project” from February 2 to April 1, 2027, which grants Tokyo points worth 11,000 yen to those who use the Tokyo App, the official application of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, to verify their identity with their My Number Card.

To participate in the program, you will need to confirm your identity using your My Number Card and apply for Tokyo Point acquisition. The new access “congestion calendar” will be made available on the official application site by January 23rd.

The congestion calendar is based on the results of the final verification conducted in December 2025 with the participation of Tokyo residents in preparation for the introduction of the identification confirmation function, etc. The calendar will be made public and updated as necessary to provide easy-to-understand information on the days and times of the week when congestion occurs.

If you wish to participate in the project, we encourage you to refer to the congestion calendar and avoid the times when access is most likely to be concentrated. The project is open to residents of Tokyo who are 15 years old or older and have a my number card.

The Tokyo App (Android/iOS version) allows users to access various administrative services of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and to accumulate Tokyo Points by participating in campaigns. Accumulated points can be exchanged for tickets to use metropolitan facilities, etc., or for points from private settlement providers that can be applied to everyday purchases, etc.

In the future, a single ID will enable services such as online access to various administrative procedures, application and receipt of benefits, AI-based administrative procedure support, personalized notification functions, and linkage with applications that can be used in times of disaster.

Please check the official application site for details.
