USJ Celebrates 25th Anniversary and the Blues Brothers Return to USJ for the First Time in 17 Years! DeLorean and other famous Hollywood cars will also gather at Discover U! Program Announcement

Universal Studios Japan will celebrate its 25th anniversary on March 31. To commemorate this event, the 25th anniversary program will be held from March 4 to March 30, 2027 under the theme of “Discover U! (Discover U!!!)” from March 4 to March 30, 2027.

The special event “Universal Cars and Stars Collection” includes a time machine from “Back to the Future,” a fire truck from “Backdraft,” a police car from “The Blues Brothers,” and a 1932 classic car from “American Graffiti, The collection features famous cars that appeared in classic Hollywood movies.

In addition, special daily meet and greets by Dr. Doc Brown of “Back to the Future” and brothers Jake and Elwood of “The Blues Brothers” will be held (Blues Brothers meet and greet will begin March 27).

The event will be held in front of the Hollywood Area Annual Pass Center. The Time Machine and Dr. Doc Brown will return for the first time in about 10 years since May 2016, and the Police Car and Jake & Elwood will return for the first time in about 17 years since 2009.

The popular attractions “Hollywood Dream the Ride” and “Hollywood Dream the Ride – Backdrop” will feature anniversary songs. The “Hollywood Dream the Ride” will feature “Destiny Journeys,” a song newly written for the 25th anniversary by Vaundy, and the “Hollywood Dream the Ride – Backdrop,” a backward-facing scream coaster, will feature the anniversary song for each period (10, 15, 20 anniversary) for each period.

The popular annual street show will also be held with a special production under the theme “Discover U! and the show will be held under the theme “Discover U!!!”.

Starting March 27, the New York area “Ultimate Blues Bash – The Color of Music” will bring that “Blues Brothers” to the stage where Cookie Monster and Grover from Sesame Street will be in full swing. Jake and Elwood return after an absence of about 17 years.

Also starting on March 27, “Kuromi Live – Discover Me Discover U! ~”, the ever-popular My Melody and Kuromi will try out new instruments, beatboxing, and sampling. In the finale, they will celebrate the 25th anniversary with a new parade song “The Power of U” in Kuromi’s version.

The Hollywood area will again host this year’s popular annual “Power of” series, starting on March 13 with “Power of Rock – You Rock! ~will feature the 25th anniversary original song “The Power of U” in addition to classic rock songs that everyone knows and loves.

Jurassic Park, which has remained popular since its opening, is bringing back “Jurassic World Journey,” a special program that recorded a 100% satisfaction rate in 2025, to allow the whole family to experience the world of the movie. Herbivorous dinosaurs and carnivorous Raptors will appear in astonishing quality and scale just as they do in the movie.

In addition to a variety of programs such as the “Jurassic World Mission Walk,” a riddle solving rally, and the “Gyrosphere Photo Spot,” a commemorative photo spot, this year, a new stamp rally, “Jurassic World Stamp Collection,” in which visitors can complete a stamp designed exclusively for the 25th anniversary by visiting all areas of the park, is also available. Experience the magnificent world of dinosaurs as in the “Jurassic World” series with two major attractions, “Jurassic Park the Ride” and “The Flying Dinosaur”.

During the period, only one group per day will be able to experience the “Universal VIP Experience Private Tour – Top Luxury Plan”. Sales will begin around midnight on January 20 on the official website, and the period of use will begin on March 20. The price is 899,800 yen per group (up to 4 people). Admission tickets to the park are not included.

In addition to special greeting and photo experiences and a fine dining experience in the exclusive VIP Experience restaurant, guests will be guided to popular areas during the park’s closing hours when the general public is beginning to leave, making it feel as if they have the park to themselves.

In addition, this season, a new plan will be available to view the “No Limit! Parade ~Discover U! version” from the VIP-only area.
