JR Tokai will offer the “Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Free Ticket” from April 15 to November 30. The tickets will be on sale from March 15 to November 26, and will be handled exclusively through the e5489 web-based reservation service.
This ticket allows unlimited travel on the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route between Toyama Station, Tateyama Station, Ogisawa Station and Shinano Omachi Station on the Dentetsu Line and between Nagoya Station and Toyama Station (via Tokaido Main Line and Takayama Main Line) and between Nagoya Station and Shinano Omachi Station (via Chuo Main Line, Shinanoi Line and Oito Line) on the JR Line for five days. The ticket allows up to 4 times use of reserved seats of limited express trains in the JR line section.
The price is 24,500 yen (half price for children). The ticket can be used any day of the week, but is not available from April 27 to May 6 and from August 10 to 19.
The round-trip “Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Ticket” was available until 2025, but will not be available after 2026. The “Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Free Ticket” does not include routes to/from Kyoto and Osaka City or via Tsuruga, which were available with this ticket.
