MUJI renews its lineup of carry-on cases. The number of colors, including orange/green, is the largest ever.

Posted on February 1, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Ryohin Keikaku held an exhibition of new MUJI products for spring/summer 2026. In the travel goods category, MUJI has substantially renewed its carry cases, which have been available since 2011. The exterior has been changed to the same scratch-resistant grainy finish as the initial model, and the main sizes (36L/75L capacity) are now available in a total of nine colors, the largest color variation ever. In terms of functionality, a dial-type TS (TSA) lock will be installed for the first time.

According to the person in charge, a total of 3 million pieces of MUJI carry-on cases have been sold to date, of which 30-40% have been black. In order to strengthen overseas development this term, MUJI will add Bordeaux, orange, smoky green, and smoky brown to the lineup, taking into consideration fashion trends, regional cultures, and skin tones.

Five basic colors are also available: white/gray/glaze/navy/black. The increase in the number of colors not only allows you to choose the color that best suits your taste, but also has the advantage that colors will not be shared among family members or colleagues, and that they will be easy to find when returning checked luggage at the airport.

Four sizes are available: 20, 36, 75, and 105 liters, the same capacities as currently on sale, along with a front-opening type slightly smaller than 36 liters, which will go on sale sequentially from late February.
