Kashima Rinkai Railway to Hold “Factory Night View Tour” on February 22. You can also ride the freight-only Kashima Rinko Line.

Kashima Rinkai Railway will offer a “Night Tour of Night Views of Factories in the Kashima Waterfront Industrial Zone” on February 22, 2012, marketed by JTB Mito Branch for 16,000 yen per person.

The tour will depart from Oarai Station at 4:14 p.m. and move to the shore of Lake Kitaura to watch the sunset. The train will also enter Okunotanihama Station on the Kashima Rinko Line, which is not normally open for passenger service, to enjoy the night view of the factory and return to Oarai Station at 19:47. The train will be a Type 6000.

The maximum number of applicants is 64. A commemorative train ticket will be included, and a raffle will also be held.
