Osaka Prefecture and the Japan Association for the 2025 Japan International Exposition will hold the “Myakmyak Reopening Ceremony” on February 21 from 11:00 to 11:30. The event will be held in front of Taiyo no Hiroba in the Expo Commemorative Park (Senri Banpaku Park, Suita City, Osaka Prefecture), and admission is free (260 yen for adults and 80 yen for elementary and junior high school students are required).

This event will be held in conjunction with the relocation of the two “Myakmyak Monuments” that were installed at the Osaka-Kansai Expo site in 2025. The “Welcome” statue at the East Gate will be installed in front of the Plaza of the Sun, and the “Excitement” statue at the West Gate will be installed in front of the Rose Garden of Peace.

The event will feature performances by Rokka Ihara, former special supporter of the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo; Fujisaki Market, whose appearance on stage at the Yoshimoto waraii myraii pavilion has been the talk of the town; Rina Ishizuka, who served as MC for the Myakmyak departure ceremony; and Mozu Yan, Deputy Governor for Public Relations of Osaka Prefecture. The Osaka Prefectural Yamada High School brass band will perform, and the RAIDERS cheerleading squad from Umehana Junior and Senior High Schools will give a performance.

A viewing area will be set up at the venue, and approximately 300 residents of Osaka Prefecture will be invited to attend. Applications will be accepted until 6:00 p.m. on February 9 via a dedicated form, with a maximum of four people per group; applications will be considered invalid if at least one person from outside Osaka Prefecture is included.

If there are too many applications, a drawing will be held, and only the winners will be notified of the results by e-mail around 2:00 p.m. on February 13. The reception desk will be open from 9:30 to 10:30 on the day of the event.

The unveiling ceremony of the exciting statue will be held in front of the Peace Rose Garden in conjunction with the unveiling of the statue of Rei. No guest appearances or performances will be held, so there is no need to register to attend.
