Coleman will release the Quick Up Shade DR Rain Block from the Quick Up Shade series, which is easy to set up and take down, in February. It will be priced at 13,750 yen.
In addition to the specifications of the Quick Up Shade DR, which can be easily set up with a pop-up system, this model is newly equipped with a “simple waterproof function (rain block). To cope with sudden rainfall in summer, which has been increasing in recent years, the shade skin is made of 75D polyester taffeta with a water pressure resistance of approximately 3000mm (the floor sheet is approximately 1000mm). By making it designed to withstand temporary rain, it can be used at picnics, day camps, outdoor festivals, and other occasions with peace of mind.
Like previous models, it also features “Darkroom Technology,” which cuts ultraviolet rays by more than 99.99% and blocks sunlight by more than 90%. By preventing sunlight from penetrating through the shades, the company claims that the shades are effective in preventing heat stroke by reducing the rise in temperature inside the shades.
The unit measures approximately 200 x 150 x 125 cm (W x D x H) and has a capacity for two to three people. It weighs approximately 2.6 kg, is compact when stored at approximately 59 x 8 cm, and comes with a storage case with shoulder straps to keep both hands free.
