APA Hotel enables online payment for “Yu-pack” via smartphone. Preliminary introduction at two branches in Roppongi and Sapporo; 180 yen discount on shipping charges.

Posted on February 1, 2026 by Editor in Chief

On January 27, APA Hotel will begin offering a new online payment function for the “Yu-pack Label Printing Service” for travelers provided by Japan Post.

The first two locations, APA Hotel & Resort Roppongi Eki-Higashi and APA Hotel Sapporo Odori Ekimae-Nishi, will be the first to introduce the system, which will be expanded gradually.

This service allows hotel guests to enter shipping information via their own smartphones or other devices and print labels using a dedicated printer installed in the hotel. Previously, only multilingual labels could be printed, but now online payment (credit/debit card) is available.

This will greatly simplify procedures by eliminating the need for hotel staff to measure luggage sizes and pay at the counter. It is expected to ease front desk congestion and reduce the administrative workload of staff in conjunction with the increase in the number of foreign visitors to Japan.

In addition, a special offer of 180 yen off the basic shipping cost per Yuh-Pack package when shipped using online payment is also provided (discounts not applicable for items brought in, etc.).

To use the service, access the dedicated website using the 2D code inside the building, register your information, and after making payment, hold the 2D code issued to the dedicated printer to print out a label. Then, simply bring the label to the counter along with your luggage to complete the process.
