Omi Railway will start ICOCA service on all lines on March 1.

From the same day, ICOCA can be entered and exited using the IC card entry/exit terminals to be installed in stations and trains, and cards compatible with nationwide inter-use such as TOICA and manaca can be used (PiTaPa’s post-pay function is not applicable). Kisegawa, and Omi Hachiman stations.

Newly eligible for the point service with WESTER points (for charge only), 10% will be returned on the portion of monthly spending that exceeds 3,000 yen. Prior registration for WESTER points is required to receive points.

The “iCONPASS” system, which allows customers to purchase ICOCA commuter passes and special tickets from the website, has also been introduced. A commuter pass for Omi Railway and a commuter pass for other lines, such as JR West, can be carried on a single card, and a separate copy of the Omi Railway commuter pass will be issued without being displayed on the face of the pass.

In addition, 200 people selected by lottery from those who purchase commuter passes through iCONPASS by April 30 will receive a QUO card worth 1,000 yen. Applications will be accepted via a dedicated application form.

In addition, the fare for children’s ICOCA (children’s card) will be unified to 10 yen per ride. Fares for cash payments, including in the case of card errors, will remain unchanged.
