GENSEN HOLDINGS will reopen “Oedo Onsen Monogatari Wan Wan Resort Nishi-Izu” (2791-4 Doi, Izu City, Shizuoka Prefecture) on March 1. The company has already begun accepting reservations.
Oedo Onsen Monogatari Doi Marin Hotel was rebranded from Oedo Onsen Monogatari Doi Marin Hotel, and is the fifth facility in Japan to allow guests to bring their dogs. The accommodation fee for dogs will be 2,200 yen per dog.
Rooms are equipped with cages and etiquette items, and play spaces are set up. Tatami mats and carpets have been changed to materials that are less stressful for dogs.
In principle, dogs are allowed anywhere in the museum. There are indoor and outdoor dog runs and a self-grooming corner. At the restaurant, dishes using local ingredients such as Ashitaka beef will be prepared for both humans and dogs (some dog meals require advance reservations).
In addition to separate outdoor hot spring baths for men and women, there are also indoor baths (men and women in turn) with a view of Suruga Bay. Some guest rooms have a separate open-air bath.
