The “Hanshin-Shikoku Web Ticket” and “Hanshin-Shikoku Kodama Web Ticket” for one-way travel between Shikoku and Osaka-Kobe stations on the Sanyo Shinkansen will go on sale on April 1, 2012 (once the planned number of tickets is reached). Tickets will go on sale on March 1, and must be purchased by the day before use. In addition to the ticket, the ticket includes reserved seats on limited express trains between Shikoku and Okayama Stations (excluding trains departing from and arriving at Takamatsu and Sakaide) and on the Shinkansen bullet train between Okayama and Shin-Kobe and Shin-Osaka Stations, and is valid for one day. The “Kodama Web Ticket” is available only for “Kodama” and some “Hikari” trains, and two or more people must travel on the same itinerary, but at a lower price. Fares to and from Matsuyama Station are 11,400 yen for the “Hanshin-Shikoku Web Ticket” for ordinary cars, 12,400 yen for the “Hanshin-Shikoku Web Ticket” for green cars, and 8,000 yen for the “Hanshin-Shikoku Kodama Web Ticket”. On the other hand, “Osaka Kodama Reserved Seat Round Trip Ticket” and “Kobe Kodama Reserved Seat Round Trip Ticket,” which were previously available as round-trip tickets and valid for 7 days, will cease to be sold as of March 30. The “Hanshin Round Trip Free Ticket”, “Hanshin Round Trip Free Marine Green Ticket”, and “Hanshin Round Trip Free Shio-Oze/Nanpuu Green Ticket”, which include a free ticket for the Osaka-Kobe area, will also be discontinued on the same day. The “Hiroshima Round Trip Ticket” and “Hakata Round Trip Ticket,” which include a limited express train from Shikoku to Okayama and a round-trip Shinkansen ticket to Hiroshima or Hakata, will also cease to be available as of March 30.
From April 1, “Tokuwari Web Ticket” will be available exclusively through e5489 between major stations on the Yosan and Dosan Lines and Okayama Station. The one-way ticket includes a train ticket and a reserved seat on a limited express train, and is valid for one day. Tickets will go on sale on March 1 and can be purchased until the day before the ticket purchase date. In addition, from April 1, a “transfer ticketless limited express ticket” will be available between Kagawa Prefecture (east of Kanonji Station on the Yosan Line and north of Kotohira Station on the Dosan Line) and Okayama Station only when a reservation is made for a Shinkansen train to or from Okayama Station through the EX Service. This is a limited express ticket only and requires a separate boarding ticket, but is available between Kotohira Station and Okayama Station for 700 yen plus fare. Tickets can be purchased until the day of purchase via e5489. On the other hand, the round-trip “Okayama Reserved Seat Tokuwari Ticket” (discontinued on March 31) and “Okayama Weekend Reserved Seat Tokuwari Ticket” (discontinued on March 29) will both be discontinued. The “WEB Early Special 7”, which includes both a boarding ticket and a limited express ticket, will only be available for travel to/from Imabari Station and other areas in Toyo, and will be discontinued on March 24 for travel that overlaps with the “Tokuwari Web Ticket” and “Transfer Ticketless Limited Express Ticket” (such as travel to/from Matsuyama Station).
