Eleven railroad companies and bureaus in the Kanto region (Odakyu Electric Railway, Odakyu Hakone, Keio Electric Railway, Keihin Electric Express Railway, Sagami Railway, Seibu Railway, Tokyu Corporation, Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway, Tobu Railway, and Yokohama Rapid Transit Railway) will begin mutual use of credit cards for touch-sensitive boarding from March 25.
The target customers include cards (credit, debit, and prepaid) that support touch payment and smartphones with the card set up.
In addition to the six companies (Keio Corporation, Keihin Electric Express Railway, Seibu Railway, Tokyu Corporation, Toei Subway, and Yokohama Rapid Transit Railway) that have already started touch-settlement boarding, five new companies (Odakyu Electric Railway, Odakyu Hakone, Sagami Railway, Tokyo Metro, and Tobu Railway) will begin service on March 25, making it possible for passengers to use touch-settlement boarding at 729 stations on 54 lines operated by 11 companies in the Kanto region. The service will be available at 729 stations on 54 lines of 11 companies and stations in the Kanto region.
