Workman focuses on “cooler wear” for spring/summer 2026. New Heat-Resistant Apparel Made of New Material “XShelter” to be Launched in Succession

Posted on January 25, 2026 by Editor in Chief

Heat-relieving material developed in anticipation of 45°C outside temperatures in the future (main application: workwear for craftsmen and professionals)

Material that makes all of the four major risks of heat stroke – body surface temperature/humidity inside clothing/radiation heat/air permeability – comfortable (can be used in a wide range of applications including sports, outdoor, and general clothing as well as parasols and hats)

The lineup includes the “XShelter Hot Heat Ω: Premium Jacket Hot Heat Ω” (4,900 yen, scheduled for release in March; available at WORKMAN and WORKMAN Plus stores), a genuine workwear that can withstand intense heat of 45°C, as well as a UV-cut function designed for outdoor use. XShelter Thermal Alpha: XShelter Thermal Alpha Hoodie” (2,900 yen, scheduled for release in February; available at Workman Women and Workman Colors stores), and “XShelter Thermal Beta: XShelter Thermal Beta Short-Sleeved T-Shirt Kids” (980 yen, scheduled for release in February) for cool kids with excellent breathability and contact cooling sensation. 980 yen, scheduled to go on sale in February, handled by all stores), etc.

In addition, long-sleeved shirts, blousons, T-shirts, pants, innerwear, and accessories such as hats and parasols will be available in the sports, outdoor, daily wear, and kids’ categories.

In particular, this year, the company will strengthen products for kids, who are shorter and more susceptible to the effects of radiant heat from the ground. In addition to outdoor wear, which has been a mainstay product for the spring/summer of 2025, the company plans to sell a large volume of basic clothing such as short-sleeved shirts and pants to Colors and women’s stores that do not handle work clothes. The company also plans to review the regular shortage of products and sell a total of 2.78 million items in the series, eight times more than last year’s sales.
