Tobu Railway will renew the “TOBU POINT Childcare Support Program” on January 13, 2026, making child fares virtually free.
After the renewal, by registering parents and children via the TOBU POINT application, the Tobu Group’s common point system, points equivalent to the fare will be redeemed for child fares and child commuter and commuter passes within the Tobu Line. Parents and children do not need to ride together; the points can be applied even if only the child rides with the registered PASMO.
The commuter pass is applicable to purchases made with a Tobu Card credit card registered on the TOBU POINT application. The “commuter” commuter pass for children will be available from March 18, 2026.
Until now, points equivalent to child fares have been redeemed only for limited periods, such as summer, winter, and spring vacations, and only when parents and children ride together, and commuter passes were only available for commuting to and from school.
