Ito-Yokado will hold “Ito-Yokado 2026 New Year’s Sale” for three days from January 1 to 3, 2026, at 92 stores nationwide (opening days and hours may change depending on stores).
The centerpiece of the New Year’s sales will be a wide range of grab bags, including a prepared food happy bag containing fried chicken thighs and other items, a fun bag containing 10 snacks, and a Thermos soup jar, cutlery, and pouch set. There will also be an all-you-can-stuff project, New Year’s specials, and a “more than enough” sale.
On New Year’s Day, 64 stores will hold “Kaiun! 500/300/200 lottery draws” as their annual New Year’s luck-testing event. The entry fee is 5,000 yen per draw (limited to one draw per person), with prizes ranging from 5,000 yen to 10,000 yen worth of gift certificates.
From the 2nd to the 3rd, ornaments and netsuke straps featuring the Chinese zodiac sign for 2026, “Noon,” will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, a “Riddle Solving Challenge” will be held until the 6th, in which visitors can participate with their smart phones. One hundred people will be selected by lottery to receive an assortment of Seven Premium sweets.
