The City of Kobe and the Kinki Regional Development Bureau of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism have decided to name the medium- and long-distance bus terminal being developed in front of Kobe Sannomiya Station “Basta Kobe Sannomiya. The name will include the existing Sannomiya Bus Terminal, which will be operated together with the new terminal.
The new terminal (Phase I) is located along Route 2, approximately 100m east of the Sannomiya Bus Terminal (1st floor of Mint Kobe), and is currently under construction with completion scheduled for around FY2027. By consolidating bus stops on the street, the terminal is expected to facilitate traffic, provide waiting space, and improve the convenience of transfers.
