On December 4, Google released its 2025 Google Search Rankings, a compilation of keywords that rose sharply from January 1 to November 20 compared to last year.

Masahiro Nakai ranked first overall, while “Dodgers vs. Blue Jays,” in which Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto played a big role to win the MLB World Series, ranked fifth, and “Tokyo 2025 World Championships,” held for the third time in Japan, ranked eighth.

Turkmenistan” came in at No. 8, with its overwhelming amount of light, attracting much attention to its exterior, as well as the fact that it is difficult to travel to from Japan, and visitors were able to experience a little-known culture.

In addition, in the prefecture-by-prefecture ranking of “Osaka Prefecture,” Expo related keywords dominated the top five, with “Expo” in first place, “Osaka Municipal Museum of Art,” which is holding a special exhibition at the Italian Pavilion, in second place, “Blue Impulse,” which also held a revenge flight display in third place, and “Osaka Metro Chuo Line,” used by over 70% of visitors, in fourth place. The top five keywords related to the Expo were almost exclusively used in the top five.
