The Air Self-Defense Force Hyakuri Air Base (170 Hyakuri, Komitama, Ibaraki Prefecture) will hold the 2025 Hyakuri Air Festival on December 7, from 8:30 to 14:00.
The Blue Impulse, a professional team of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, will perform aerobatics over the venue from 10:55 to 11:35 a.m. Maneuver flights by F-15s and F-2s and cruise flights by UH-60Js, U-125As, T-4s and F-2s are also scheduled.
On the ground, there will be aircraft, vehicles, equipment, police dogs, and robodogs on display, as well as programs such as trying on uniforms and experiencing VR at the Ibaraki Regional Cooperation Headquarters booth. There will also be a store area and eat-in space.
On the day of the event, shuttle buses will be available between JR Ishioka Station, JR Tsuchiura Station East Exit, Oarai Sun Beach Parking Lot, and the base. There is no parking on the Hyakuri Air Base, and visitors are not allowed to come by car. Traffic regulations (vehicle closures and no parking) will be enforced on December 6 and 7 on the roads surrounding the base.
On the 6th, from 10:00 to 14:30, a pre-flight viewing will be held for residents of the cities and towns surrounding Hyakuri Air Base (Komitama City, Hokota City, Whereabouts City, Ibaraki Town, Kasumigaura City, Mito City, Ishioka City, Hitachinaka City, Kashima City, Ushioji City, and Oarai Town). The Blue Impulse aerobatic flight is scheduled from 12:45 to 13:30. Participation in the preliminary flight is limited to the winners, and the application period has already ended.
